The answer to your question depends on how sweet the hot chocolate is. You see if the hot chocolate is really sweet then personally I think the marshmallows would be way too much and should be left out (unless you have a very very sweet tooth then you can leave them in of course). However, if we're talking Starbucks then hot chocolate WITH three marshmallows is just about right!!!
On a cold wintery night and Christmas just around the corner I think a wee trip to Braehead (and Starbucks) is just what a girl needs!

Just the job eh! Teh other question is should the marshmallows be the little weeny ones or the old fashioned larger ones. Teh little ones are quite difficult to find. The little ones melt faster.....................
Three good old fashioned marshmallows might have been a bit big for the starbucks mug (but could probably fit comfortably into the larger size) so maybe they were medium sized if there is such a thing? I'm almost certain they weren't the teeny ones but maybe they were. Oh dear, I'm all confused now! This definitely requires further investigation.
You should visit Belfast... Clements coffee shop serve their hot chocolate in bowls with marshmallows and whipped cream as standard. It comes with a spoon, although nobody is ever quite sue what the best way to drink it is. Personally I love the white mostache look, forget the spoon, just get stuck in. Theres a lot to be said for Starbucks gingerbread lattes too, definately with whipped cream. Makes all the chaos of Christmas shopping bearable!
Always with whipped cream so that the cream starts melting into the hot chocolate. Mmmmmm. Marshmallows optional but should be small ones. Then dusted with cocoa powder!
