Stewart Journeying On Into Lent

The journey to Bethlehem was just the beginning for Jesus. He and his family fled to Egypt until Herod dies then came back and settled in Nazareth. We don't know much about what happened between then and the day Jesus turned up to be baptized by John the Baptist at the beginning of His ministry.

So our journey follows Jesus, into the wilderness of Lent. I wonder why Jesus had to go into that barren place for 40 days? I wonder if we will have the courage to follow him into that dangerous… Continue

Stewart Where did the star lead you?

So, where did you find yourself after following the star? Somewhere expected or not? Somewhere comfortable or not?

The thing that struck me most was the sense of having to 'go home by another road' and that being uncomfortable but exciting. I wonder who I'll meet on that road? It was certainly good to meet all of you!!!

Stewart follow the star

The planning group met last night, and not a hot chocolate in sight! We were thinking about our next gathering on 6th January. That day is Epiphany (I didn't know what that was either!) when we think about the 3 wise men so we thought we should carry this theme through into Together. So come and join us for the long journey to Bethlehem, following a star and meeting with some unexpected things and people along the road to the stable. Continue
